Every fire door is a life-safety product. Our Level 3 qualified inspectors carry out fully documented, photographically evidenced inspections covering every measurable component of the door, frame, ironmongery and surround — aligned to BS 8214:2026 and the requirements of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
How often should fire doors be inspected?
In residential buildings over 11m in England, communal fire doors require quarterly checks and flat-entrance doors best-endeavours annual checks under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. Other inspection schedules depend on risk, use and condition.
Who should inspect fire doors, and what does the law say?
The Responsible Person must arrange the required checks and use appropriate competence for the task. RiSKFiX records findings so the Responsible Person can decide next steps with their Fire Risk Assessor.
