What installation regulations and evidence apply in the UK?
The scope is worked to BS 8214:2026 and the relevant doorset evidence, including BS EN 1634-1:2014+A1:2018. Installation must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the building’s requirements under Approved Document B (2019 edition incorporating 2026 amendments), where applicable.
What happens after installation, and is there an installation certificate?
The handover includes installation records, component traceability and an updated door register. Third-party-certificated installers provide installation documentation for the work carried out; this is not a guarantee that every door or building meets every requirement.
